Did you know that youth who serve demonstrate increased levels of self-confidence, career-readiness, compassion, empathy, flexibility, adaptability, initiative and appreciation for diversity*?
Young people reap the benefits of service while they visit the elderly, craft with children, construct community gardens, enjoy games with veterans, bowl with Special Olympians, beautify parks and trails, play volleyball with para-athletes, create recycled art to donate to local therapeutic centers, and serve food to the hungry. Our youth development model is also a community development model.
Will you be a part of YVCHR’s mission?
YOU have the power to activate youth in service and build the next generation of leaders, advocates, and humanitarians. You have the power to equip tomorrow’s workforce with the perspectives, skills and qualities that we want for our future.
