Want to learn how to knit?
Already know how to knit?
In December of 2020 we held our first Hats from the Heart project. It was an amazing yet challenging experience. Then we hosted our second Hats project in March which was even more successful than the first! Based on what we learned from those two sessions and suggestions made by our youth we have decided to make this an all in-person project. So beginning May 10th we will launch our third Hats From the Heart project. Please check to make sure you can attend all the meetings before signing up because each meeting builds on the one prior.
Why are we still doing hats in May? Well, the receiving organization distributes hats twice a year and we want to get a jump start on making hats so that we have lots to give come Thanksgiving/Christmas. Youth don't need any knitting experience but patience and perseverance will be key. Needles for knitting and yarn will be supplied for those that secure a spot on the roster. If you would prefer to crochet, please contact Kimberly at programdirector@yvchr.org.
