Katie Morgan—Executive Director

 

Katie is a graduate of the University of Virginia (Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies) and the College of William & Mary (Master of Education in School Counseling). She spent 6 years in Newport News Public Schools as a middle school counselor and also assumed other leadership roles as the Site Director for the Governor's Youth Development Academy (2013-2014), founder and sponsor of the Dozier Middle School and Denbigh High School chapters of the Youth Volunteer Corps, and co-creator of the NNPS Virtual Mentoring Program. In 2016, Katie was recognized as the 2016-2017 Division-Wide Teacher of the Year and Middle School Teacher of the Year.

Her passion for service and her love for students has drawn her to her current role as the Executive Director of the Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads where she has continued making positive connections with young people and their families, as well as with partnering organizations, educators and community members since June of 2017.

Katie is a member of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce LEAD Peninsula Class of 2020 and recently earned her certificate in Fundraising Management for Nonprofits through the Nonprofit Management Institute. She is married to her college sweetheart, has two incredible sons, and delights in spoiling her Aussiedoodle, Ellie.

Anne Bibee — Director of Development

 
 

Anne Bibee is a passionate educator and youth development professional with extensive experience in experiential learning, mentorship, community engagement, and fundraising.  As the Director of Development for Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads, she is committed to enhancing youth program opportunities by securing grants, sponsorships, and cultivating donors for YVCHR. Her efforts ensure youth in Hampton Roads have access to programs that build work and life skills while serving the community at large. 

With a background in both local and international youth programs, Anne has worked to foster academic achievement and personal development. Previously, as the Director of Family Programs at Francis Asbury UMC, she mentored pre-teens and teens, guiding them through team-based service projects and leadership opportunities. Her international experiences, including directing service-learning programs in the Galapagos Islands and the British Virgin Islands, have shaped her commitment to developing global awareness and civic engagement among youth. Anne holds a Master of Education in Higher Education Administration from the College of William & Mary.

 
 

Kiley Jensen—Program Director (Southside)

 

Kiley is a graduate of Chadron State College (Bachelor and Master of Education of Business Administration). As a military spouse of almost 20 years, she has lived in Nebraska, California, Tennessee, Virginia and Japan. She is the mother to three amazing teens who continue to volunteer with YVCHR.

Community service has been an essential part of Kiley's life. She is passionate about learning about the different needs in the communities that she lives in and how best to be part of a solution. She has held positions on several boards as chair, president, secretary and treasurer for school Scouts, church, Parent-Teacher, Navy, and community organizations. She has turned her volunteerism into a career as she serves as the Program Director for Southside.

 
 
 

Kimberly Moore — Program Director (Peninsula)

 
 

After several years serving as a lead catechist in her church’s high school Youth Ministry program, Kimberly returned as Peninsula Program Director for Youth Volunteer Corps of Hampton Roads in June 2025. She previously held the same role from 2018 to 2022 and brings a longstanding passion for volunteering, mentoring, and youth development.

Since 2000, Kimberly has invested in young people either through coaching volleyball, serving in church ministry, and/or homeschooling her own children. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Media Arts from the University of South Carolina, is the spouse of a retired Air Force officer and mother of two amazing children.

Sydney

I am a student at Christopher Newport University majoring in psychology and double minoring in leadership studies and childhood studies. I plan to teach elementary school after graduating college. Some of my hobbies include reading, thrifting, and hanging out with my friends. I volunteer at YVCHR because I love working with kids and I want to learn more about our community. 

Kelsey

I’m a student at Christopher Newport University, majoring in Cellular, Molecular, and Physiological Biology, with double minors in Civic Engagement & Social Justice and Leadership Studies. I am both a Bonner Service Scholar and a President’s Leadership Program Scholar. Through my work with Youth Volunteer Corps, I’m passionate about empowering young people as they begin to find their place in the community and discover meaningful ways to get involved.

 
 

Norah

I am a student at Christopher Newport University majoring in Psychology and Leadership Studies with a minor in Criminology. I love animals and have two dogs and four cats. I joined YVC as a team lead because, in middle school, I was a youth volunteer for YVCHR in my school club and want to give back the same wonderful experiences I had in my youth. In my free time, I enjoy photography, cooking and baking, writing poetry, and studying behavior. 

Addi

I am a student at Christopher Newport University studying Communications with a double minor in Leadership Studies and Spanish. I am a Bonner Service Scholar and in the President's Leadership Program. Service has been a part of my life since I was small and being able to continue engaging with my community through college has been great. With YVC I hope to make a lasting impact on our community while also helping our youth understand the value of service.

 
 

Megan

I am a student at Christopher Newport University double majoring in International Affairs and Criminology and double minoring in Leadership Studies and U.S. National Security Studies. I plan to work in government after graduation. Some of my hobbies include going to the beach, getting coffee with friends, and watching old movies! I volunteer at YVCHR because I volunteered when I was younger and wanted to help kids find the same love for volunteering as I did!

Hanna

I am a recent graduate from Virginia Commonwealth University, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Gender, Sexuality, and Women’s studies. I hope to use my degree to work in the nonprofit field, as helping people and building community is a big passion of mine. Outside of work and volunteering, I love to read, watch movies/TV shows, go to the gym and concerts. I am a team leader with YVCHR because YVC was a big part of my middle and high school years. I wanted to give back to an organization that gave so much to me.
