In our busy lives it is easy to forget those military AND civilian individuals that fought for the freedoms we enjoy. So let’s take a day to remember and honor those souls by tending to their final resting place at Pleasant Shade Cemetery.
This project will be our FIRST EVER Family Day event. Parents and youth will serve TOGETHER as we tend to some overgrown sections of the historic Pleasant Shade Cemetery in Hampton in honor of Memorial Day.
PLEASE NOTE:
At least one parent or guardian will need to volunteer with their youth but we hope you will get your whole families involved. Adults will need to fill out our Adult Volunteer Waiver.
Youth who volunteer will need to be between the ages of 11-18.
Families that wish to volunteer will need to bring lawn equipment (mower and/or weed eater, gas can, work gloves, safety glasses). It is a large area that is quite overgrown in places.
