IN-PERSON
Meeting 5 of 5
Mental health has always been an important issue and it is especially important now in light of the pandemic that is affecting everyone around the world. Everyone has been affected in some way and we are going to talk about it. But we aren’t just going to talk. We are going to DO something to help families struggling in a way you might not think about; the struggle to acquire an adequate supply of diapers. Did you know that 1 in 3 families don’t have access to an adequate supply of diapers? Sad, but true.
Location: YVCHR Office.
Details: Youth will learn and talk about current mental health struggles, discuss coping strategies, and more. In addition, youth will plan a diaper drive to benefit the Greater Hampton Roads Diaper Bank wrapping “party” project. (If you are interested in the wrapping party, you will need to sign up for that project separately.) The dates for this project are January 24, 26, 28, February 3 & 4.
Special Considerations: This is a 5 part project so we ask that you commit to each date of the project. For this in-person meeting youth will need to wear a well fitting surgical, N95, or KN95 mask at all times regardless of vaccination status due to the increasing numbers of COVID in our area and because this is an indoor project.
Organization being served: The Greater Hampton Roads Diaper Bank has been working since 2012 to change the lives of babies, children with disabilities, and seniors in the Greater Hampton Roads Area.
