Youth will assist Newport News Parks and Rec with their Haunted Trail by working various stations for the event.

 Volunteer Roles 

Actors (need up to 8 per night). Endview will provide a costume/mask and makeup for you, although we may ask that you provide your own shoes and dark-colored pants and shirt. You will be assigned to a scene along the trail and scare people as they walk through! Must enjoy waiting in the woods for people to scare. 

Group guides (need up to 6 per night). You will introduce the story of the haunted trail to the group and then make sure the group stays together and on time as you walk through the trail. Each guide will walk through the half-mile trail about 4 times over the course of the night. 

Visitor services help (need up to 3 per night). You will help guests check in, gather groups according to tour time, and walk them to the start of the tour. You will also hand out candy and direct guests to restrooms. 

Costume and makeup help (need up to 2 per night). Just what it sounds like, we need help to make sure everyone is in costume and ready on time. Experience doing scary makeup effects is a plus.
