Hay…we need your help! We have a MEOW-tain of work to do at the sanctuary but many hands make light work.

Location: P.A.W.S. property (Youth will be shuttled to the sanctuary property)

Details: Youth will spend the day replacing hay in the feral cat shelters on the sanctuary property. Lunch will be provided.

Youth needed: 12

Special Considerations: This project involves cats and lots of hay. If you have allergies/sensitivities of cats or straw and you want to participate, please plan to wear a mask and bring an antihistamine. Youth should be prepared to come into contact with bugs (i.e. ants, spiders, etc.) Please bring work gloves if you have them and be prepared to wear long sleeves, long pants, and old shoes. Youth will also need to fill out a YVC travel waiver. If you have food allergies, please bring a lunch.

Organization being served: Poquoson Animal Welfare Sanctuary (PAWS) is dedicated to the rescue and placement of abandoned, abused, and neglected cats in and around Poquoson, VA.
